A pub has been located on this site since 1835, the original name of the pub was the Hibernian Hotel. Hibernia is the Classical Latin name for the island of Ireland. Over the years this pub has been known as the Victoria Hotel and Jubilee Hotel. In 1996 this site became known to all as IRISH MURPHY'S, it is in fact the original and first of many Irish Murphy's in Australia.
We are proud to say that this pub has been serving up Tales 'n' Ales for 176 years and will be, for many more years to come.
